IKEA LAGKAPTEN / ALEX 140x60 Assembly | Step-by-Step 3D Guide

A calm, step-by-step 3D guide to building the IKEA LAGKAPTEN / ALEX desk 140x60: the ALEX drawer unit (white, 36x70 cm, 004.735.46), the LAGKAPTEN table top (white, 140x60 cm, 404.608.15) and two ADILS legs (white, 902.179.72). Based on the official assembly instructions (ALEX AA-2242840-5 and ADILS AA-844478-7). No talking, just the parts and the sounds they make. In this video: • What's in the box: panels, drawer parts, all hardware, and the table top and legs • How the cam lock grabs the bolt and pulls the panels tight (see-through panel) • Building the drawer unit and the 3 large and 2 small drawers • Mounting the ADILS plates and legs on the upside-down table top • Turning the top over and screwing it to the ALEX from inside with the Allen key • Fitting the drawers with their drawer-stop screws, moving the desk against the wall and setting it up A note on the order: in steps 3–4, 6–7, 10–11 and 17–18 we lock each panel with its cam locks before adding the next one, so no loose panel can tip over while you work. The parts and step numbers are the same as in the instructions. Safety: the ALEX and ADILS instructions do not include wall anchoring for this desk. Never stack two ALEX drawer units on top of each other. The table top is 140 cm long: turn it over with two people, and carry the finished desk with two people.
