How to Crochet a Simple Shawl for Beginners | Step-by-Step Tutorial

In this video, I’ll show you how to crochet a beautiful and simple triangle shawl using just basic stitches — perfect for beginners! 🧵 Materials: 100% acrylic yarn, size 4 (medium weight) 6 mm crochet hook Scissors Yarn needle (optional) 🪡 What You’ll Learn: How to start with a magic ring Basic stitches like double crochet, chain spaces, and corner increases How to add decorative lace rows How to customize your shawl length and finish neatly 📝 Pattern Notes: You can follow the main pattern as shown in Row 4, and add decorative rows like in Row 5 whenever you like. In my shawl, I finished with a lace row similar to Row 5 for a delicate edge. The sides should stay symmetrical, so be sure to match the number of stitches before and after each corner. At the end, fasten off and weave in the ends. ✨ Feel free to crochet as many rows as you like — alternate the basic pattern with lace stripes to create a unique piece! 💬 Got questions?
