How to Plan Your Week With God: Make Time for What Matters Erin Glenn & Ruthie Graham 00:00 Welcome and Overwhelm 00:44 Why Calendars Spiral 01:34 Marriage as Priority 05:16 Anchored Week Idea 06:07 Four P Method 07:23 Pray and Simplify 12:10 Place Weekly Anchors 19:57 Prepare Systems and Support 23:58 Protect Your Time 27:40 Pick Your One Anchor 29:34 Prayer and Sendoff Have you ever looked at your calendar and realized there seems to be room for everyone and everything—except the things that matter most to you? In this episode of the Her Purpose Women Podcast, Erin Glenn and Ruthie Graham talk about how to intentionally plan your week with God, protect your priorities, and create an anchored week that makes room for faith, family, health, rest, marriage, and business. As women in real estate, it can be easy to let clients, appointments, and unexpected requests take over our calendars. But what if your business isn't supposed to get every available hour? What if your calendar could actually reflect what matters most? 🤍 THE 4 P METHOD FOR AN ANCHORED WEEK Erin shares a practical framework for creating a more manageable schedule: 1. PRAY Start by bringing God into your calendar. Ask Him for wisdom and revelation: What isn't meant to be here? What do I need to make space for? What should I outsource? What isn't for this season? James 1:5 reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God—and He gives generously. But praying also requires making room to listen. Sometimes the answer comes when we stop, take a walk, put the phone away, and give God space to speak. 🤍 2. PLACE YOUR ANCHORS Your weekly anchors are the things that need to happen for you to have a healthy, successful week. These might include: • Bible and prayer time • Exercise • Meal planning • Date night • Family time • Time with your spouse • Bible study • Sabbath • Rest For Erin, one of her most important anchors is time with her husband. Ruthie shares how spending intentional time with her husband has become increasingly important as her children have grown. The goal isn't to copy someone else's list. Ask yourself: “If I could consistently do these things every week, how much more peaceful would I feel?” Then put those things on the calendar. 🤍 3. PREPARE An appointment on your calendar is not always the entire process. If you want to have a healthy dinner, someone has to plan the meal, buy the groceries, and prepare the food. If you want a date night, someone has to schedule it and make arrangements for the kids. If you want to work out, you need the clothes, the schedule, and the preparation to make it happen. Preparation makes your anchors possible. This is also where delegation comes in. Ask: Who can help carry this responsibility? Maybe it's your spouse. Maybe it's your children. Maybe it's an employee or assistant. Maybe it's someone you can hire. Sometimes creating margin requires investing money to buy back your time. 🤍 4. PROTECT YOUR TIME This may be the hardest part. It's easy to create a beautiful schedule and then abandon it the moment someone calls. Especially in real estate, we can fall into the mindset of: “Thank God I have a client—I'll make myself available whenever they need me.” But your personal commitments are appointments too. Your Bible time is an appointment. Your workout is an appointment. Your lunch with your husband is an appointment. Your Sabbath is an appointment. Your rest is an appointment. You don't have to explain every commitment. You can simply say: “I have an appointment at that time, but here are two other times that work for me.” Your calendar doesn't have to revolve around everyone else's availability. 🤍 DON'T LET YOUR TO-DO LIST CONTROL YOUR MOOD Ruthie shares another important lesson: don't let an unfinished to-do list determine whether you have a good day. Sometimes things won't happen the way you planned. An appointment may get canceled. You may wake up exhausted. God may be telling you to rest. And sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is stop, take a nap, reset, and start again. Jesus Himself withdrew to quiet places and prayed. If Jesus needed time alone and time to pray, we do too. 📖 SCRIPTURES MENTIONED Hebrews 6:19 James 1:5 Luke 5:16 🤍 CONNECT WITH HER PURPOSE 🌐 Website: https://herpurposewomen.com/ 📸 Instagram:   / herpurposewomen   👥 Join the Her Purpose Facebook Group:   / 759665260000019   🤍 CONNECT WITH ERIN GLENN 📸 Instagram:   / erinjglenn   📘 Facebook:   / erinjglenn   📧 erin@glennsdens.com 🤍 CONNECT WITH RUTHIE GRAHAM 📸 Instagram:   / aiken_realestate   📘 Facebook:   / ruthie.graham.16   📧 ruthie@movetoaikensc.com 🎙️ Listen to Her Purpose Women Podcast on Spotify & Apple Podcasts.
