This Chinese Uncle Treats Me Like Family ❤️

I thought I was just going to have a quiet morning… until 牛叔叔 (Uncle Niu) started knocking on my door. 😂 A few days ago I met Uncle Niu after moving into this small community in Chengdu. Since then, I keep bumping into him everywhere. After I mentioned that I’d hurt my leg, he decided to take matters into his own hands. First stop? Breakfast. Although somehow I was the one eating while he was drinking baijiu at 10 in the morning! 🍶 Then he showed me around the local wet market, where I even got to see traditional baijiu being made, before taking me for a traditional Chinese treatment. I ended up getting cupping, heat therapy, and a medicinal alcohol rub to help my injured leg. This is one of those days that reminded me why I love travelling. You never know who you’re going to meet, and sometimes complete strangers end up treating you like family.
