In this pen drawing practice, I return to two familiar subjects in my artwork: roses and sparrows. The roses frame a pair of sparrows resting together on a branch, creating a quiet moment surrounded by nature. Through the lines, textures and layers of ink, I continue exploring the details of the flowers, the birds and the branches. For me, roses symbolise love, while sparrows often bring a sense of companionship and quiet observation. Together, they form a small narrative about affection, connection and the beauty of ordinary moments.
