Listen.
Before anyone says this is a bad idea…
I have a very high Charisma score.
And more importantly:
Confidence.
The guards said no.
Convinced.
The merchant wanted twenty thousand gold.
Convinced.
The dragon?
Shockingly convinced.
Then somebody let the Bard speak to a lich.
Natural one.
I ROLLED PERSUASION! is a LegendForge D&D Bard anthem for every player who believes virtually any problem can be solved with a d20, a smile, and absolutely unjustified confidence.
Sometimes you get the keys to the city.
Sometimes you get a dragon sending you gifts on holidays.
Sometimes you ask an undead king if he has considered friendship.
You take the roll either way.

Because if this roll fails…
that’s why we brought the Paladin.
[Intro]
Listen.
Before anyone says this is a bad idea...
I have a very high Charisma score.
And more importantly...
Confidence.
[Verse 1]
City gates at half past ten
Guards said "Nobody gets in"
I flashed a grin
Bought a round
Started asking who's from where
Natural twenty!
What a night!
Now we're drinking by the fire
The captain asked me for advice
And gave us keys on our way out
[Pre-Chorus]
Now some folks trust in steel
Some trust magic's might
I trust a d20
And being confidently right
[Chorus]
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
WHAT COULD GO WRONG?!
I'VE TALKED MY WAY THROUGH TROUBLE ALL ALONG!
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
WATCH THIS, FRIEND!
THIS IS EITHER PURE GENIUS
OR THE WAY IT ALL ENDS!
[Verse 2]
Merchant had a magic blade
Priced at twenty thousand gold
I smiled
Complimented his beard
Sold him shares in future glory
Promised songs in every hall
Three days later he remembered
He never got paid at all
[Gang Chant]
NAT TWENTY!
NAT TWENTY!
BEST DEAL OF MY LIFE!
[Verse 3]
Met a duchess at a ball
Danced beneath the candlelight
Claimed I came from noble blood
Everything was going right
Natural one.
She asked which house.
I named one dead two centuries.
The music stopped.
The crowd went silent.
The Paladin stopped looking at me.
[Chorus]
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
THAT ONE WENT BAD!
IN MY DEFENSE IT SOUNDED GOOD IN MY HEAD!
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
I TOOK MY SHOT!
IF YOU NEVER ROLL THE DICE
THEN YOU NEVER LEARN A LOT!
[Verse 4]
Ancient dragon in a cave
Mountain-sized and breathing flame
The Fighter whispered
"Don't say anything."
Which sounded like a challenge.
I stepped forward
Cleared my throat
And offered partnership instead
Natural twenty.
Dragon blinked.
Now he sends me gifts on holidays.
[Bridge]
And that's when confidence became a problem.
[Verse 5]
Ancient throne
Undead king
Legions gathered in the dark
The Wizard said
"This won't work."
The Rogue had already left.
The Paladin started praying.
The Barbarian started laughing.
I stepped forward
Pointed at the Lich
And said:
"Have you considered friendship?"
[Build]
Natural...
One.
[Breakdown]
OH NO!
OH NO!
OH NO!
[Spoken]
In hindsight...
That one was ambitious.
[Verse 6]
The Lich stood up
The room went cold
The dead arose at his command
I learned a valuable lesson
And immediately ignored it again
[Final Chorus – Key Change]
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
I REGRET NOTHING!
FROM DRAGONS TO KINGS TO THE UNDEAD COMING!
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
I TOOK THE CHANCE!
SOMETIMES YOU WIN A KINGDOM
SOMETIMES YOU START A DANCE!
I ROLLED PERSUASION!
ONE FINAL TIME!
AND IF IT FAILS
THAT'S WHY WE BROUGHT THE PALADIN!
[Outro]
Guard?
Convinced.
Merchant?
Convinced.
Dragon?
Shockingly convinced.
Duchess?
Not convinced.
Lich?
Absolutely not convinced.
...
Still worth the roll.
