Back into the caves of Hoxxes with the Gunner in Deep Rock Galactic! This run features the Rocket Barrage overclock on Hazard 5, taking on an On-Site Refining mission in the Salt Pits. With swarms of bugs coming from every direction, it's time to see how much explosive firepower this setup can bring to the mission.
The Rocket Barrage overclock turns the Hurricane Guided Rocket System into a rapid-fire rocket launcher, letting the Gunner unleash a barrage of explosives against groups of enemies. Instead of relying on carefully guided shots, this setup focuses on firing rockets quickly and keeping the pressure on the swarm. When the caves start filling up with bugs, having that kind of firepower can make a big difference!
The mission takes place in the Salt Pits, a biome filled with rocky tunnels, red stone formations, and winding cave systems. The terrain can make navigating between objectives interesting, especially when a swarm arrives while you're trying to get the refinery up and running.
In On-Site Refining, the dwarves need to locate liquid Morkite wells, connect pipelines back to the refinery, and get everything pumping. Building the pipelines is only part of the job, though. Once the refinery is running, you'll need to defend the operation, repair damaged pipelines, and deal with whatever the caves throw at you.
With Hazard 5 active, even a small swarm can quickly become a serious threat. The Gunner needs to keep moving, watch for enemies approaching from different directions, and make good use of the Rocket Barrage's explosive damage. The rapid stream of rockets is especially satisfying when a group of bugs gets caught in the blast!
Between setting up pipelines, defending the refinery, and clearing out waves of Glyphids, this mission puts the Rocket Barrage build to work. It's a chance to see how the overclock handles the chaos of a high-difficulty mission while exploring the Salt Pits.
This is a no-commentary Deep Rock Galactic gameplay video, featuring the full mission experience without voiceover. Just the Gunner, a whole lot of rockets, and another dangerous shift underground.
