On January 12, 2023, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen held a Public Information Meeting for the proposed Soil Removal and Deposition Bylaw and its associated supporting amendment bylaws. If adopted, Soil Removal and Deposit Bylaw No. 2974, 2022 would restrict the removal and deposition of soil in the Greater West Bench area of Electoral Area “F” unless a proposed activity qualifies for an exemption or can be considered for approval through the issuance of a permit under the Bylaw.
