Join me for a peaceful 10.4‑mile linear walk beginning at Church End in the Bedfordshire village of Milton Bryan. I begin by following quiet alleyways and open fields towards the historic grounds of Woburn Abbey Deer Park, entering beside Paris House. Inside the Deer Park, my walk becomes something special. The park is brimming with deer, and I feel privileged to be able to get so close. Leaving the park at Speedwell, my route crosses freshly harvested fields and joins a section of the Greensand Ridge Walk, heading towards the historic road, the A5 Watling Street. After crossing the busy road, the landscape shifts as I pass through King’s Wood. From here my walk flows into the beautiful Rushmere Country Park, where wide paths, sandy soil and pockets of woodland guide me towards Heath and Reach. I rejoin the Greensand Ridge Way, passing through Heath Wood, before descending into the Watermeadows. This is where I pause to fly my drone, capturing the open landscape from above. My final section joins the Grand Union Canal, following the towpath for a gentle 1.25‑mile stretch into Leighton Buzzard, ending the walk beside the water. A route full of variety, deer, woodland, meadows, drone views and a calm finish along the canal.
