Well, it’s been about 10 hours from the moment I first started playing as Kintaro to my first successful run with 5 negative modifiers. I found this character quite difficult to master. For comparison, when Romeo, Juliet, and Merlin were released, it took me an average of 6-8 hours (from the first time I picked them up to completing a run with 7 negative modifiers, which is significantly more challenging. In this case, I realized right away that such a goal is still a long way off for Kintaro.
I’ve already shared some thoughts in a previous review, but as of now, I’m quite unhappy with this character. It’s not just that he feels outright weak in terms of survivability; his combos aren’t particularly fun, and I personally don’t enjoy the mechanics of controlling the bear.
I’m afraid this is the first character I’ve found to be technically dull. Still, I’ll keep exploring him further.
As for builds, a "Power" build seems to be his best option - it’s the most reliable and safest approach.

Starting talent: Stampede deals so much damage—likely due to a multiplicative modifier- that it’s impossible to ignore, even though I still struggle to control its direction.
Key talents: Skewer (definitely my favorite talent for this hero so far) and *Power Charge*.
Survival talents: Mend Pet (I don’t see how you could survive without it) and Hardened Skin (incredibly strong).
Additional DPS: Boomerang Axe (the damage boost didn’t feel significant, but it provides consistent extra DPS). Berserk (though I’m not a fan yet - it’s too risky).
I do not recommend: Leaping Dash (it’s dangerous due to animation locks and delays).
