In this video, listen to Ganamurti & Jhalavarali, melakartha raga #3 and #39 respectively, by Vidushi Bhagyalakshmi Chandrasekhar and her disciple Seema Thalangi. In this series, we are presenting the 72 melakarta ragas with their full arohanam and avarohanam in three speeds as well as alankaras in seven talas. Each raga will be introduced by a shloka from the Sangraha Chudamani of Govindacharya. Instead of the usual 12 chakram division, we have grouped the 72 ragas into 36 pairs, consisting of a shuddha madhyama raga and its corresponding prati madhyama raga.
