The hike to the Materuni waterfalls was beautiful, with lush scenery and a stunning waterfall at the end. The walk to the Materuni waterfall takes approximately 40 to minutes. The Waterfall is 90m high. On the way to the Materuni waterfall,one interacts with the locals,learns local economy and agriculture, while enjoying the surrounding's fauna and flora. The coffee tour was such a highlight, learning the traditional process and getting involved was both fun and authentic. One learns how coffee is cultivated, dried and roasted. While you produce your own cup of coffee, one is invited to listen, dance and sing chagga songs - a fun way of immersing oneself to the local culture. Fresh and hot local lunch is also served.
