ක්‍රිස්තු වර්ෂ 1830 අවුරුද්දේ, ප්‍රංශයේ ආරාමයක දේවස්ථානයක් ඇතුළේ ශුද්ධ වූ කැතරින් ලැබෝරේ (Saint Catherine Labouré) කියන මහා නිහතමානී පුංචි පැවිදි සහෝදරියක් මහා නිහඬව යාච්ඤා කරමින් හිටියා. ඇය දෙවියන් වහන්සේට මහා ඉහළින්ම ආදරය කරපු, උන්වහන්සේට මහා විශ්වාසවන්තව සේවය කරන්න විතරක්ම ආශා කරපු කෙනෙක් යාළුවා. හැබැයි ඇය හීනෙකින්වත් හිතුවේ නැහැ මුළු ලෝකෙම ඉන්න මිලියන සංඛ්‍යාත ආත්මයන්ගේ හිත් සුවපත් කරන්න පුළුවන් මහා සුවිශේෂී පණිවිඩයක් ස්වර්ගයෙන් ඇයට බාර දෙන්න ලෑස්ති වෙනවා කියලා. The Miraculous Medal is a Catholic devotional item introduced in 1832 following visions of the Virgin Mary to St. Catherine Labouré in Paris, France.
