A famous name gave Henry Ford II a place inside Ford. Keeping the company alive demanded far more.
At twenty-eight, the founder’s grandson took charge of a troubled industrial giant. He brought in professional managers, backed new cars and helped turn a family-controlled business into a modern global corporation. His era brought the Mustang, the GT40’s victory at Le Mans—and costly failures that left lasting questions about power and responsibility.
This documentary follows Hank the Deuce through the Whiz Kids, Ford’s public stock offering, the Edsel disaster, the rivalry with Ferrari, the Pinto controversy and his clash with Lee Iacocca. Behind the boardroom decisions stood a family whose name was known around the world, but whose future was never guaranteed.
The machines these people built became part of everyday life. So did the consequences of their choices. Their stories remind us that progress is made by imperfect people—and that a lasting legacy is measured in the lives it changes.
