Where is the shore of paramita? Throughout life, for one faint gleam I exhaust the essence of youth. Adapted from Zhou Munan's novel of the same title, and produced by Youku, YouKeNeng Pictures, and ShengGe Film and Television, the TV drama "Blood River" has premiered. The series features Zhou Munan as the screenwriter, Yin Tao as the director, Gong Jun and Peng Xiaoran as the lead stars, and Qiao Zhenyu as a special guest star. The theme song/ending theme for this series, "The River” performed by Zhou Shen, has been pre-released. With his ethereal voice and powerful expressiveness, Zhou Shen interprets the relentless flow of the river of life despite facing a difficult destiny and cycles of grief, joy, parting, and reunion. This song was co-written by Wang Yaoguang and Zhang Pengpeng, composed and produced by Wang Yaoguang. The arrangement features a foundation of piano and strings, runs through with a cello solo, and is brightly punctuated by a pennywhistle during the interlude. The vocal line stretches across a wide range between the verses and the chorus, with the emotions in the chorus layered and continually building upward. Each repetition of the chorus brings a different emotional intensity, culminating in a powerful, grand, and rich dynamic.
