SIX YEARS, A NEW FIR: WHY IS THE DISHA SALIAN CASE BACK UNDER INVESTIGATION? By Milan Sharma Six years after celebrity manager Disha Salian died after falling from a Mumbai building, the case is back under scrutiny. A fresh CBI FIR follows questions over the earlier investigation and allegations of evidence being mishandled or destroyed. ▪️The FIR names several political figures, actors, associates and police officers. ▪️The allegations now face investigation and will have to be established through evidence. 👉🏽 So what went wrong with the original probe? The new FIR names former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aaditya Thackeray, along with actors, associates and senior police officers. But a name appearing in an FIR is not proof of guilt. There are alleged contradictions in seizure records, questions over the status of Disha’s phone, and claims that crucial medical or forensic material was suppressed or altered. “दस्तावेज में कहा गया कि अलग-अलग बयानों के थ्रू रोहन रॉय जो उनके करीबी थे उन्होंने इंटरव्यूज दिए थे” [05:43] —— [08:23] SIX YEARS OF WAITING For Disha Salian’s family, the wait has lasted six years. Her father continued approaching the courts, seeking a deeper investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. “लेकिन उस परिवार के लिए दिशा सालयान के जिनके पिता अलग-अलग कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाते रहे उनको 6 साल इंतजार करना पड़ा” [08:23] —— [10:01] CAN THE TRUTH STILL BE RECOVERED? Aaditya Thackeray has rejected the allegations as politically motivated. The bigger question now is evidence.
