We hiked up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland and the UK, and what an experience it was. The weather gave us everything from clouds and wind to clear views, and the rocky paths made it a proper challenge. But the smiles at the summit hut say it all. Ben Nevis stands at 1,345m (4,413ft) and is known as the UK’s highest peak. People travel from all over to take on the mountain, and now I get why. It’s tough, but worth every step.
