Fashiontex Riga 2026
Two weeks of experimentation, a festival full of energy, and a vision of fashion that lives in both the physical and the digital world: our film looks back at the highlights of FashionTEX in Riga 2026. At the Riga Makerspace of the Art Academy of Latvia, 24 young designers from eleven European fashion schools came together to turn digital concepts into physical prototypes. With digital knitting, 3D printing, laser cuter, CNC and traditional materials at their disposal, they created bold, innovative designs that connected craftsmanship with the possibilities of virtual fashion. Each physical garment was developed together with its digital twin.
Together with dedicated project leaders, experienced experts and partner institutions across Europe, FashionTEX grew into an international network of exchange in which knowledge, perspectives and cultural diversity inspire one another.
At the FashionTEX Festival in Riga 2026, the results came to life. Visitors could explore the young designers’ creations, digital fashion solutions and virtual images, and join conversations and presentations about the future of the fashion industry. The highlight was the FashionTEX Digital Show at the LED Unit Virtual Production Studio, where physical garments met 3D design, animation and virtual environments. A Fashion Mini Runway complemented the show with the designers’ physical creations.
Experience the creativity, the technology and the strong community that made FashionTEX in Riga an unforgettable chapter.
