The Butler–Freeport Community Trail is one of western Pennsylvania’s hidden gems, winding through beautiful wooded countryside and a stunning gorge alongside cascading streams. But don’t let its beauty fool you. This trail can be a challenge! After riding it earlier this year, I knew I had to return with my camera to capture its beauty in the fall. What I didn’t know was that this ride would take a very unexpected turn! Join me for one final autumn adventure as I tackle the long uphill climb, enjoy the spectacular fall scenery, encounter some beautiful wildlife, and experience an exhilarating downhill ride that doesn’t quite go according to plan.
