Ozark International Oct 2026 Chris getting passed by everyone

So, this was the second outing for the black 996 after an abbreviated weekend at Hastings NE. In addition to replacing the wheel bearings after the LT front one started failing I did some shock adjustments to counter a bit of bump steer I was feeling. I screwed it up and the car wouldn't handle at all for the OIR event. The car was floaty at speed and understeered badly, it was reliable but I was slow. Messing with shock rebound and tire pressures got me down to 3:12 eventually but that's still 15-20 seconds off a good time for me in the red 996. This video is a simulated race start with reverse grid. As the slowest car yours truly got the pole position. The last car didn't get me until turn 13 but it was an NA Miata so that's not a huge accomplishment. These NASA HPDE 4 drivers are good and there are some fast cars, I made 4 laps in this session and didn't get lapped. Enjoy the chaos.
