Guiding Light February 6, 1990

In the Bauer kitchen, Johnny and Maureen try to figure out where Chelsea is, until she shows up in tears. At the penthouse, Blake is surprised to find Alan-Micheal at her door, but he tells her he didn't know where else to go. Getting treated at the hospital, Dylan's surprised to hear from Harley that A-M is the one who saved him from the fire. Frank arrives at the hospital and tells Nadine and Harley that Pops died in the fire. Dylan and Frank try to console Harley, who feels responsible for Pops' death. Billy arrives, looking for Dylan, and comforts Nadine. A-M tells Blake about the fire and how he had to save Dylan's life. Johnny calls the cops about what happened with Chelsea at the gazebo. Rick and Rae show up at the Bauers' and Chelsea explains how much the fan hates her. She tries to explain to the others why she stayed at the gazebo. Johnny sees the torn up tapes and tells her that the syndication tapes were stolen and the masters were replaced with cartoons. Sam visits Dylan in his hospital room and they discuss Harley and her guilt and how A-M saved him. In the bathroom where Blake's run a bath for A-M, she brings him a drink and helps him undress, getting a little flustered. Once he's in the tub, she offers to wash his back when she sees how sore he is. A-M daydreams about their kiss, and they share a moment. Blake makes an excuse about needing towels, and privately tells herself that she's playing with fire. At the hospital, Vanessa asks Billy about Dylan and offers condolences to Nadine when she hears about Pops. Frank's upset that he can't get in touch with Dana, and he and Harley console one another. Hawk tells Nadine that Harley can have a spare room at the boarding house if she needs somewhere to stay. Frank gives Harley the box from A-M, and tells her that A-M didn't seem happy about having to risk his life for it. Cops arrive to question Sam in Dylan's room, but she wants to wait for Ross. Vanessa intercedes, and Sam and Dylan are grateful. Billy and Vanessa share a moment that Nadine observes. Chelsea tells the others that she thinks the fan is dangerous, and when Johnny presses her, she admits that the fan has her mother's flight info. Johnny wants to change their wedding plans. Blake returns to the bathroom with a towel and robe that she says was a gift that never got given for A-M. He tells her more about the fire, including how he and Dylan went back for Harley's box that had love letters to Dylan on top. Blake consoles A-M and they nearly kiss, but Blake leaves again to refill his drink. A-M finds Blake in the bedroom and returns the robe because it was meant for Phillip. She goes to make a bed for A-M on the sofa, but he stops her. Alone with Rae, Chelsea confesses that she doesn't know how much more of the fan stuff she can take. At the hospital, Harley watches Dylan surrounded by his family from the outside. Frank is upset to go home and find that Dana is still missing. Chelsea asks Rae if she can have the gun Rae used to have in NY. Blake steps away from A-M and tells him they can't. He asks her not to walk away, and kisses her as they fall into bed.
