12 Creepiest Towns in South Carolina (Every Case Is Real)

Twelve South Carolina towns with a dark side, and every story is backed by court records, police reports or government documents. The Lizard Man of Bishopville, Ellenton (the town erased for the hydrogen bomb), Charleston's Old City Jail, the ruins of Old Sheldon Church, the Orangeburg Massacre, the Graniteville chlorine disaster, the 1985 Shari Smith case, Pee Wee Gaskins in Prospect, Gaffney's two serial killers, the Todd Kohlhepp case in Woodruff, Columbia's death chamber, and the Murdaugh murders at Moselle near Islandton. Every one of these towns is more than its worst night. Please be respectful in the comments.
