I Couldn't Find a Hinge… So I Made One

Build a Custom Fuel Filler Hinge Some details on a project take much longer to figure out than expected. The fuel filler on the KTM was one of them. After extending the fuel tank forward, the filler cap ended up underneath the bodywork — which meant I needed a way to access it without compromising the clean lines of the bike. In this video, I design and build a hidden access panel from scratch, including a custom hinge mechanism, 3D scanning and CAD work, several prototypes, and a final 3D-printed aluminium hinge. A small detail in the finished bike, but quite a bit of work to make it look that simple.
