Before the Battle of Red Cliffs, the jealous commander Zhou Yu sets Zhuge Liang an impossible task: a hundred thousand arrows in ten days. Zhuge Liang promises them in three — and makes none at all. He borrows twenty small boats from honest Lu Su, lines them with straw, and on the third night sails them through a thick river fog to Cao Cao's camp, drums beating. Afraid of a trap he cannot see, Cao Cao orders his archers to shoot, and the straw catches every arrow. At dawn the boats sail home loaded, the soldiers shouting their thanks to Cao Cao. Words to learn: 神机妙算 (brilliant foresight), 擂鼓 léi gǔ (to beat the war drums), 妒忌 (jealous). Retold for children from chapter 46 of the Ming-dynasty novel by Luo Guanzhong, told by Mr. Zhou. 学一学 Let's learn 中心思想：诸葛亮算准了天气，看透了曹操，才用草船借来了箭。遇到难事多动脑筋，办法总比困难多。 生字词：妒忌（dù jì） to be jealous of · 擂鼓（léi gǔ） to beat a drum · 神机妙算（shén jī miào suàn） uncanny foresight; brilliant planning 章节 Chapters 0:00 开场 Intro 0:28 三天十万支箭 A hundred thousand arrows in three days 1:33 向鲁肃借船 Borrowing twenty boats 2:15 第三天夜里 The third night 2:55 大雾里擂鼓 Drums in the fog 3:36 箭像雨点一样 Arrows like rain 4:16 谢谢曹丞相的箭 Thank you for the arrows 4:53 神机妙算 Uncanny foresight 5:42 学一学 Let's learn 旁白及配音由 AI 合成 · Narration and voices are AI-generated 接着看 Watch next ▶ 更多三国演义故事动画｜水墨 · 儿童版 · Three Kingdoms Stories:    • 三国演义故事动画｜水墨 · 儿童版   ▶ 也来看看 传统节日故事动画｜水墨 · 中英双语 · Chinese Festival Stories:    • 传统节日故事动画｜水墨 · 中英双语
