Project Sidewalk | The Untold Stories of India's Street Vendors | Full Documentary

Every street has a story. Every vendor has a life beyond their stall. But how often do we stop to listen? PROJECT SIDEWALK is a documentary by Ahaana Javeri that takes you beyond the bustling streets and into the extraordinary lives of the people we walk past every day. What began as a love for photography turned into Sidewalk Stories, a 2026 planner featuring seven street vendors and their journeys. But helping seven street vendors was only the beginning. Using the remaining funds from the project, Ahaana travelled across Mumbai, Pimpri Chinchwad, and Lonavala to uncover the lives behind the stalls. From spending days alongside vendors to visiting their homes and speaking with people working to protect their livelihoods, this documentary explores their struggles, resilience, dreams, and the realities they face. These are the people who feed our cities, keep our streets alive, and work tirelessly, often without being seen. Project Sidewalk isn’t just about street vendors. It’s about the people behind the profession. We hope that after watching this film, the next time you walk past a street vendor, you’ll stop for a moment, look a little closer, and see the person behind the stall.
