Spiritual warfare is real, but God has equipped us to stand. Phil Griffiths explores Ephesians 6, showing how the armour of God protects, strengthens and equips us to resist the enemy, stand together and pray for God's kingdom to come. 00:14:48 - Service Starts 00:18:40 - Praise and Worship 00:43:11 - Holy Communion 01:00:13 - Stop and Pray - The Armour of God | Phil Griffiths In The Armour of God, Phil Griffiths explores Ephesians 6:10–18 and the reality of spiritual warfare. He reminds us that our struggle is not ultimately against people, but against spiritual forces, and therefore the church cannot remain passive. We are called to stand firm in the strength and mighty power of God. Phil explains that the armour described by Paul is not our own armour but God’s armour, ultimately pointing us to Jesus. The belt of truth reminds us to build our lives around Christ and the truth of His Word. The breastplate of righteousness reminds us that our righteousness comes from Jesus, not from our own goodness. The gospel of peace gives us firm footing, while the shield of faith enables us to extinguish the enemy’s accusations, temptations and lies. The helmet of salvation protects our minds, while the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God—equips us to respond to spiritual attacks with truth. Phil stresses that we must put on the full armour rather than selecting only the parts that feel comfortable. The message finishes with a powerful call to prayer, encouraging the church to stand together, pray in the Spirit and contend for God's kingdom and His will to be done.
