Use this full-screen uniformity test to visually inspect your monitor, TV, laptop, OLED, or LCD display for dirty screen effect (DSE), uneven brightness, tinting, and other visible panel uniformity issues. TEST SEQUENCE: 0:00 – White 2:00 – 75% Gray 4:00 – 50% Gray 6:00 – 25% Gray 8:00 – Dark Gray 10:00 – End HOW TO USE: 1. Clean your screen before testing. 2. Set YouTube to the highest available quality. 3. Enter full-screen mode. 4. View the display from your normal viewing position. 5. Look across each solid field for darker patches, brighter areas, tinting, vertical bands, or other visible inconsistencies. WHAT TO LOOK FOR: • Dirty screen effect • Uneven brightness • Dark or bright patches • Color tinting • Vertical or horizontal bands • Panel uniformity differences Some variation may be normal depending on the display technology, settings, viewing angle, and panel.
