We’re Growing Our Own Basket Willow! 🌿 | From Willow Patch to Baskets

We decided to grow our own basket willow—and this is the beginning of the experiment! We’ve planted several different varieties of willow here on the farm with the hope of eventually harvesting our own long, flexible rods and turning them into beautiful handmade baskets. In this video, we’ll show you why we decided to grow willow, the varieties we’re trying, how we planted them, and how they’re growing so far. We’re still learning, so we’ll be sharing the successes, the surprises, and what we discover along the way. There’s something especially satisfying about growing a plant from the ground up and eventually turning it into something useful with your own hands.
