The whole concept for "Orbit" was just seeing how long I could run the same sequence. I wanted a melody that seems like way too much the first time you hear it, but then it just locks in and becomes catchy. It’s basically 100 BPM of trying to wear your patience down until you give in to the groove. We originally threw this under some footage for our travel channel of us messing around with shorebirds in Kozhikode. But the audio had too much momentum, so it ended up on our Halong Bay video instead. It tracks my first time taking off in a seaplane and a boat cruise we did through the bay. It proves that a repetitive synth can tell a story too. When you get the edits and transitions synchronizing to the beats, the track essentially does all the heavy lifting.
