Chris Whiteley is the Managing Director and an Executive Coach at The 21st Century Leadership Company. Chris Whiteley spent 21 years at Siemens, starting as a trainee and rising to Finance Director. Finance was never the passion; leading people was. The leadership coaching he received at Siemens improved him so much that, at 39 and three quarters, he left a very good job to the amazement of the people around him and started his own business in 2007. It began as purely one-to-one leadership coaching and has grown into a leadership development company that works with organisations on coaching, the Strength Deployment Inventory and its Leading Healthy Teams programme. His focus now is what he calls lonely leaders: senior people who feel isolated, have nowhere confidential to take their hardest decisions, and lose performance because of it.
