Welcome to our VisionQuest Episode 1 and 2 Reaction titled “No Strings,” and “Theseus,” Get Access to the Full Length Reaction:   / themediaknights   VisionQuest (2026) Episodes 1 and 2 follow White Vision several years after the events of WandaVision. Living in Edinburgh under the name Sherwood Ellis, Vision attempts to understand humanity while struggling with memories that no longer carry the emotions attached to them. Inside his mind, he has created a virtual home inhabited by artificial intelligences including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and a confined version of Ultron. In Episode 1, “No Strings,” Vision's quiet existence is disrupted when Ultron secretly exposes his location to a group of mercenaries. The attack forces Vision out of hiding and introduces Paladin, a mysterious bounty hunter determined to capture him. Meanwhile, a young man named Thomas Shepherd begins experiencing memories connected to Wanda Maximoff and the family she created in Westview. Episode 2, “Theseus,” explores Tommy's past and the strange circumstances surrounding his new identity. When Paladin kidnaps him to lure Vision into a trap, Vision initially refuses to acknowledge the boy as his son. However, a conversation with Ultron about the Ship of Theseus pushes him to reconsider what it means to be the same person and whether his choices matter more than his memories. Vision eventually attempts to rescue Tommy but is severely damaged by Paladin's weapons. With his systems failing, J.A.R.V.I.S. sacrifices his own programming to keep Vision alive, allowing Tommy to return and help him escape. The two leave together, opening a new chapter in the complicated history of the Maximoff family.
