The RX 6800 Problem No One Talks About

XFX RX 6800 not detected by your PC? Unlike NVIDIA cards, AMD GPUs won't even be detected if PCIe coupling capacitors are knocked off or damaged. In this repair, I diagnose an XFX RX 6800 with a no-detect fault, check all voltage rails (12V, 5V, 1.8V, VDD, VDDCI, core), and discover the culprit — two tiny capacitors barely hanging onto the back of the PCIe connector. I dismantle the card, verify all main power rails are present using a bench power supply, locate the loose capacitors, solder them back onto their pads, and secure them with solder mask for a permanent fix. After reassembly, the card detects perfectly and passes full driver and stress testing in Windows.
