MCI Career Bazaar 2026 | Shaping Futures, Building Media Careers

Welcome to the LIVE stream of the MCI Career Bazaar 2026, held on Thursday, October 29th, 2026! Hosted by the Media Challenge Initiative (MCI) as part of the Africa Newsroom Contest (ANC), this event is dedicated to "Shaping Futures, Building Media Careers". According to the "Career Bazaar Program.pdf", this one-day platform is designed to bridge the gap between academic preparation and workplace readiness for university students in Uganda. We are moving beyond conventional career talks to create an interactive marketplace of opportunities where emerging talent can directly engage with recruiters, employers, and industry leaders. Today's broadcast will feature:Career Kick-Off Session: An interactive myth-busting segment designed to challenge common assumptions about careers in media, communications, digital, and creative industries. Career Conversations: Dynamic keynote and panel sessions featuring selected alumni and industry professionals. They will share candid insights on personal branding, networking, niche building, and the digital and AI skills shaping the future of work. On-Ground Mentorship: While you watch the main stage, students on-site are participating in Career Experience Booths for personalized CV and portfolio reviews, as well as interview practice.
