Hawaii Food: Restaurant Matsu delicious Japanese Food in Kahului, Maui

This video features our visit to Restaurant Matsu in Kahului, on the Island of Maui, in the State of Hawaii. It serves delicious local-style Japanese Food in Hawaii and has become our favorite food spot overall in Maui. The Tonkotsu Ramen was excellent, which I would rate 2nd or 3rd, behind Wagaya Ramen. The Combination Set B was also very good, especially the delicious Shrimp Tempura with strong sweet and savory sauce. Too bad the Battered and Fried Akule was out, but the substitution of Salmon Katsu was delicious, moist, and had good Katsu Sauce. The Yakitori Chicken was okay, not a favorite. The Kids Special was reasonable and had a delicious Fried Chicken that appeared to be battered with Mochiko flour, which adds a nice flavor element. My wife enjoyed her chilled Udon with Tempura. We highly recommend Restaurant Matsu when visiting Maui. This video was recorded on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
