A few years ago, farmland in one corner of central Ohio sold for $5,000 to $10,000 an acre. Then the biggest private investment in Ohio history was announced next door, and the same land jumped to around $50,000. The project behind it is now at least five years behind schedule. We count down ten Ohio megaprojects, and for each one we show what was promised, where it actually stands as of October 2026, and what it means if you live nearby: Joby Aviation in Dayton, the Western Hills Viaduct, Cleveland Hopkins' CLEvolution, Cleveland's lakefront, LinkUS in Columbus, the Brent Spence Bridge, the Browns' domed stadium in Brook Park, the Honda and LG battery plant in Jeffersonville, Anduril's Arsenal-1 in Pickaway County, and Intel and the data-center boom in New Albany. Plus an honorable mention: passenger rail (3C+D). Figures are as reported by the sources below as of October 2026; timelines and costs change. Not investment or real-estate advice.
