I Built a Hanging Shelter Over a River and Spent the Night in It. In this solo camping adventure, I built one of the most unique shelters I've ever made — a handmade hanging shelter suspended above a beautiful, crystal-clear river using a large fallen tree as its main structure. Instead of building a shelter on the ground, I wanted to create something completely different. Using natural materials and carefully woven bamboo, I built a beautiful and detailed shelter hanging above the flowing river, surrounded by peaceful forest scenery. The entire building process was done by hand, from preparing the structure to creating the intricate bamboo walls and making the shelter comfortable enough to spend the night in. And as always, this adventure wouldn't be complete without rain. Heavy rain arrived during the camping trip, transforming the entire atmosphere into something incredibly peaceful, cinematic, and immersive. The sound of rain falling around the shelter, the flowing river underneath, and the surrounding forest created an unforgettable wilderness experience. After completing the shelter, I spent the night alone above the river. Inside, the shelter became a warm, peaceful, and surprisingly comfortable place to escape the rain. I also cooked a delicious meal during the night, including homemade pizza and freshly grilled fish, while listening to the sound of the river and heavy rain outside. This is more than just solo camping. It's a journey of building, exploring, cooking, and spending a night completely surrounded by nature.
