One traveller. One backpack. Nearly 800 kilometres on foot. And a story worth telling.
In 2023, I set out to walk the Camino Francés, the legendary pilgrimage route across northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela.
What followed was a remarkable journey through changing landscapes, historic towns, mountain passes and quiet villages — with long days on the trail, unexpected encounters, moments of exhaustion and plenty of reasons to smile.
A Traveller's Tale is my personal account of walking the Camino de Santiago, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the French Pyrenees to the magnificent cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
This full-length travel documentary brings together my journey into one continuous film, following the route day by day and sharing the places, people and experiences that made it so memorable.
It's not intended to be a definitive guide to walking the Camino, nor a dramatic story of personal transformation. It's simply an honest account of an adventure that left me with a renewed appreciation for the simple things in life: good company, beautiful surroundings, the kindness of strangers and the pleasure of putting one foot in front of the other.
Whether you're planning your own Camino Francés, remembering a pilgrimage you've already completed, or simply curious about what walking across Spain is really like, I hope you'll enjoy coming along for the journey.
Buen Camino!
