God Gave You Something—Stop Being Afraid to Use It What have you been afraid to start? Maybe you can teach—but you keep asking, “Who am I to teach anybody?” Maybe you can write—but the document has been unfinished for years. Maybe you have a business idea—but you've researched endlessly and never tested it. Maybe you want to create content—but you're waiting until you look and sound perfect. Maybe there's a qualification you want—but you've convinced yourself you're too old. Maybe you keep looking at people who are further ahead and wondering why anybody would need what you have to offer. Listen to the words of the servant in Matthew 25:25: “I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground.” Fear convinced him that preservation was safer than faithful stewardship. And sometimes fear does the same thing to us. We protect ourselves from embarrassment—but prevent ourselves from growing. We protect ourselves from criticism—but hide our voices. We protect ourselves from failure—but never discover what could happen if we actually developed what God has placed in our hands. Remember: Somebody else's excellence is not evidence of your irrelevance. You don't have to start where somebody else is. Your first video may be awkward. Your first product may need improvement. Your first presentation may make you nervous. Your first attempt may reveal weaknesses. That's okay. You cannot improve something you refuse to practise. This message isn't telling you to recklessly pursue every idea and call it faith. Stewardship includes wisdom. Research. Training. Planning. Feedback. Accountability. Financial responsibility. Sometimes the faithful thing is to begin. Sometimes it's to study first. Sometimes it's to practise privately. Sometimes it's to start smaller. But fear should not be the thing making the decision. For the next seven days, identify ONE thing you've been burying because you're afraid. Then ask: “What exactly am I afraid of?” Failure? Rejection? Criticism? Looking inexperienced? Losing money? Being seen starting small? Then ask: “What is one responsible step I can take even while the fear is still there?” Because courage doesn't always mean fear disappears. Courage is often obedience while fear is still talking. 🙏 Declare: “I will not bury what God has entrusted to me because I am afraid. I will develop it. I will steward it. I will use it wisely, and I will leave the outcome with God.” If you believe this message, type Amen in the comments. 👍 Like this video. 📤 Share it with someone who has been allowing fear or perfectionism to stop them from beginning. 🔔 Subscribe for powerful Bible teachings, Christian encouragement, declarations and prayers from the Word of God. 📖 Scripture: Matthew 25:14–30 May God give you courage to begin, discipline to develop what He has placed in you, wisdom to steward every opportunity, humility to keep learning, and strength to refuse the paralysis of fear.
