Barnes has spent recent years building a reputation across Europe's Dub Techno and minimal circuits, developing productions defined by immersive textures, restrained rhythm, and deep atmosphere - a sound that carries directly into his live sets, known for their emotional depth and unhurried sense of flow. Be Calm was written during a period of mental overload, and became the process through which Barnes worked his way back to stillness. The EP sits with the contrast between tension and release: each track marking a different stage of that arc, from subtle anxiety and restlessness through introspection and into quiet acceptance. The production stays deliberately minimal and spacious - space enough for small details to settle, the way thoughts do when the noise finally clears. It isn't a record about escaping the world. It's about learning to stand inside it without losing yourself. "Where tension dissolves and the mind finds silence." — Nicolas Barnes Be Calm EP is out now on SATYADGTL.
