I'm confident I had seen Nightmare Before Christmas well before any strong memories I've had leading me to believe this movie influenced me a great deal. I've always had a taste for halloween styled music and attribute that to why I gravitated toward Avenged Sevenfold so much. I tried to emulate Sevenfold quite a bit in this arrangement. I went into this cover with confidence, knowing that though I knew it would be difficult with how much it moves, I felt like I could comfortably navigate it and I ended up underestimating it a lot. At first glance it's a very similar progressing just played across a few different keys, but very little repeats for very long and the arpeggios and backing lines are relentless. I wanted to do my best to make the fullest and most grand sounding cover of this on YouTube and spent a full day just arranging the orchestra that would take a backseat to the guitars. It was a daunting task and for the first time in a very long time, I started to feel nervous about not finishing it on time. This year has been weird, painful, and also relentless and I hope that you all can still have a good Halloween. I know this technically isn't a video game song per se, but I figured this would finally be the year to break this one out for all of you. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Thanks to ‪@ToxicxEternity‬, the real life Jack Skellington, for the killer solo!    / toxicxeternity   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Follow me! 🐦   / familyjules7x   📘   / familyjules7x   🕹   / familyjules   💬   / discord   📷   / familyjules7x   If you'd like to support me, pledge to me on Patreon or buy my music! 🧡 https://www.patreon.com/familyjules7x... 🥁 http://familyjules7x.bandcamp.com/ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Proudly endorsed by: Ernie Ball Strings (https://www.ernieball.com/) Schecter Guitars (http://www.schecterguitars.com/) Get your next piece of music gear through my affiliate link for Sweetwater! https://bit.ly/Sweetwater_FamilyJules ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Filming by: ‪@adrisaurus‬ Composed by: Danny Elfman ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▼▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Instruments Used: Lead Guitar: Ernie Ball Majesty Monarch Rhythm Guitar: Schecter Banshee Elite-7 Bass: Schecter Diamond-J 5 Interface: Axe-Fx III Mixer: Makie ProFX12 Microphone: Shure SM7B + Audio Technica AT2020 Audio Software: Cubase 10 Video Software: Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015 Video Camera: Panasonic Lumix GH5s Check out my entire list of equipment here: https://kit.co/FamilyJules7x #FamilyJules #ThisIsHalloween #NightmareBeforeChristmas #Halloween
