500 × Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi × Subhan Allahil Azeem × Hasbunallahu Wa Ni'mal Wakeel The Dhikr of the Light Tongue and the Heavy Scale Pure Voice, No Instruments — Arabic — سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ الْعَظِيمِ حَسْبُنَا اللّٰهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ — English — Glory be to Allah, and by His praise. Glory be to Allah, the Most Great. Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs. — The Story — 500 times. Three phrases. One quiet surrender. The tongue moves. The heart follows. The weight of the world begins to shift onto the One who can actually carry it. The Prophet ﷺ said there are two words light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, beloved to Ar-Rahman: Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allahil Azeem (Sahih al-Bukhari 6406, Sahih Muslim 2694, narrated by Abu Hurayrah RA). And when the believers were told that armies had gathered against them, their word was Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel, and Allah returned them with favor and grace untouched (Sahih al-Bukhari 4563, narrated by Ibn Abbas RA, referencing Surah Al-i Imran 173). 🕊 Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi. Glory to Allah, and by His praise. Whoever says it a hundred times in a day, his sins are wiped away even if they were like the foam of the sea (Sahih al-Bukhari 6405, Sahih Muslim 2691, narrated by Abu Hurayrah RA). 🌌 Subhan Allahil Azeem. Glory to Allah, the Most Great. The second half of the words beloved to the Most Merciful. 🛡 Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel. Allah is enough for us, and the best to be entrusted with our affairs. The word of the believers when fear tried to bend them (Surah Al-i Imran 173). Glorify. Praise. Trust. Return. 500 times is not a number from a hadith. It is a way of sitting long enough that the tongue stops rushing and the heart begins to listen. The extra repetitions are devotion, not legislation. When the plans you made are not working, the tongue that says Hasbunallah is not defeat. It is the deepest freedom. — Listen When — Your chest is tight and you cannot name why. The 3 AM worry will not let you sleep. Someone has plotted against you and you have no reply. You feel small before a mountain of a problem. You want your scale on the Day of Judgment to be heavier than your regrets. — Quran — Allah says: "Those to whom people said, the people have gathered against you, so fear them. But it only increased them in faith, and they said, Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel." (Surah Al-i Imran 3:173) Allah says: "So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great." (Surah Al-Waqi'ah 56:96) Allah says: "And remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning."
