Fifth round of the 2023 FIDE World Cup in Baku, game 1: Magnus Carlsen (2835) against Vasyl Ivanchuk (2667), in the Bogo-Indian Defense. There is no big blunder: Carlsen gains ground from small inaccuracies such as 22...Bxf3 and 27...Nb5. Ivanchuk fights back with the only good moves 30...g6 and 34...f5, but 35...Rd5 is a mistake, and 40.Bxd5 keeps White firmly on top. The game ends after 43.Qe4.
