The Modern metagame has consolidated heavily into Combo and Aggro, which together take up 62% of the competitive field while the rest of the archetypes sit fragmented. Graveyard strategies have dropped to their lowest point in 12 weeks, while Combo reached a new high. Broodscale Combo and Prowess dominate the tournament results, combining for 12 trophies and 20 finals appearances. Broodscale placed in the Top 32 across every single event and made 12 finals, leaving players with a 64% chance to run into it during a league. Prowess claimed the most trophies in the field, though all of its wins came early in the window before disappearing in the second half. In my view, Broodscale Combo is starting to look a lot like pre-ban Boros Energy: an inescapable metagame force present in every room, constantly targeted, and still finding ways to win. The rest of the field shows interesting trends: Devoted Combo converted 4 finals, Boros Energy rebounded with late trophies, Affinity broke through in the RC Qualifier, and Domain Zoo took two wins with ShowTime_. When building your sideboard, prioritize creature combo and aggro interaction. With graveyard strategies dropping sharply, you can safely trim dedicated graveyard hate.
