Patreon:   / join   IG TD sketches:   / axi0.t0x   In this tutorial, I’ll explain how to convert any video file into particles and make both their movement and the post-processing effects react to audio. While preserving the original color information, we’ll transform the source footage into a three-dimensional particle visual. By combining the Weight attribute output by the Field POP with Curl 2D noise, we’ll create an organic flow in the particles that form the image. We’ll also add line-based details using a Proximity POP, trails using a Feedback TOP, and glow using a Bloom TOP. This allows us to create an audio-reactive visual in which the particle movement and glow respond to the kick and high-frequency elements of the audio while retaining the shape and colors of the original video. In this video, you’ll learn how to convert image data from TOPs into POP data, use channel information from a video as depth for the particles, create a flow field using Field and Noise POPs, and move particles using the Target Feedback Loop of a Particle POP. You’ll also learn how to process audio data from the audioAnalysis component using Filter and Math CHOPs and apply it to the particle movement and Bloom intensity. In addition, I’ll explain how to composite the original video with the rendered result and create trails using feedback. This tutorial is designed to be easy to follow, even for those who are new to TouchDesigner. A ready-to-use TOX version with several additional features is also available on my Patreon.
