Le Grand Tour d' Europe 2024 (DAY 14) - Copenhagen - Helsingør - Copenhagen. Sped up video recorded on a windscreen mounted GoPro. The trip was a 52 day driving tour of northern Europe taking in 17 Countries. Almost the entire route avoiding motorways. Day 14 - Leaving our incredible hotel we headed north, through Copenhagen city, then hugged the coast up to Helsingør. Helsingør is home to the magnificent Kronborg Slot (Castle), a.k.a. Elsinore in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Before we visited this castle we popped next door to the M/S Museet for Søfart (M/S Maritime Museum). After lunch it was time to head over to the castle and although it wasn't 'wonderful' in terms of accessibility it was still a fantastic place to visit, including a very cobbled access to see Holger Danske (a legend linked to Arthurian myth, a Danish king known as Ogier the Dane). Very impressive. We then proceeded back south down the coast and drove back through the city to get back to the same hotel.
