Layering Drum Patterns on a Tape Loop

I wanted to share my process of recording drums on a short tape loop. Tape loops are difficult to record patterns on, given their variable length. So for a drum sequence, I try to layer down drum one-shots manually, across all four tracks. There is a lot you can do with this technique, this really only covers the basics, but it may be useful to anyone wanting to record some drums in this format.
