2 lemons grated rind and juice
1 orange grated rind and juice
1 can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 cups hot water
Ophie Cochran. My Grandma!
Grandma didn’t have any instructions here. But I boiled for 5-10 minutes to form a syrupy filling. Optional. Toast coconut before adding to cooked syrup.
Place cooled filling between and on cooled cake layers. Grandma always made hers several days ahead of time and kept cool.
Enjoy!
