Autumn Walk in Thessaloniki: Aristotelous Square (Leof. Nikis to Egnatia) | Part 1 Join me for a sunny autumn afternoon stroll through the heart of Thessaloniki, Greece! Starting right at the waterfront on Leoforos Nikis, this chest-mounted action-cam POV walk takes you straight up the grand paved pedestrian walkway of Aristotelous Square all the way to Egnatia Street. Whether you’ve walked these stones before and are feeling nostalgic for Greece, or you're planning your first visit to Thessaloniki, experience the vibrant atmosphere, sounds, and daily life of the city’s ultimate meeting place. As we head up the square, you'll see the iconic grand architecture that defines Thessaloniki. Following the Great Fire of 1917, the square was redesigned by French architect Ernest Hébrard and constructed primarily during the 1950s. Notice the sweeping monumental arches, neo-Byzantine details, and classic European arcades—most famously embodied in the grand Electra Palace Hotel. Along the way, we pass the famous bronze statue of the philosopher Aristotle. Local tradition holds that rubbing his worn-down left big toe brings wisdom, intelligence, and good luck, making it a must-stop spot for students, locals, and travelers alike! This walk captures the true pulse of the city: bustling outdoor cafe tables, busy retail shop fronts, street buskers and musicians, locals catching up over coffee, workers on their afternoon break, and tourists soaking in the warm Mediterranean sun. Note: This is Part 1 of a 2-part series. Part 1 covers the walk up from the seafront at Leoforos Nikis to Egnatia Road, while Part 2 covers the return walk back down toward the Thermaic Gulf. NOTE: In an era dominated by AI generation and heavy editing, real life is starting to feel rare. These videos are unedited, unfiltered, and completely raw, no music, no commentary, and no life advice. I'm not trying to teach you anything or sell a lifestyle; I'm just capturing everyday moments on my motorcycle and walking the streets as they actually are while Im self teaching myself to film. Think of this channel as an unvarnished capsule of the present moment for future generations to look back on.
