ANSU and All Papum Poma Students’ Union Appeal for Peace Between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam Hollongi, October 28: All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU), along with All Papum Poma Students’ Union, visited the house of the victim at Hollongi Assam area side, where the recent crime took place. During the visit, ANSU and APPSU along with executive members of the All Assam Gorkha Students’ Union held a meeting to discuss the ongoing situation and appeal for peace and harmony between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. The ANSU and APPSU urged people from both states to maintain peace, tranquillity and mutual understanding, stressing that an individual or family dispute should not be allowed to escalate into tension between the two neighbouring states. Arunachal Pradesh and Assam have shared a long-standing relationship of peaceful coexistence, mutual dependence and cooperation. They appealed to the people of both states to preserve this relationship and prevent misunderstandings or isolated incidents from disturbing communal harmony. Further the students' union called upon all concerned organisations and community members to exercise restraint, avoid spreading tension and work collectively to maintain peace and brotherhood. The leaders stressed that dialogue, mutual respect and cooperation are essential to resolving differences and ensuring that the people of both states continue to live together peacefully.
