"Богородиця" - Bogurodzica in Ruthenian

performance: Chorea Kozatska Bogurodzica is a religious hymn of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland, the origin of which is not known for certain. This is the Ruthenian version from the First Lithuanian Statute of 1529, which is sung in the Old Ukrainian manner (there is also an Old Belarusian version from Stary Olsa). The latter map is based on the regional banners at the Battle of Grunwald. Jan Długosz recalled in his chronicle that Polish-Lithuanian knights (including banners of Ruthenian subjects of these crowns) sang this hymn before the Battle of Grunwald.
